Ellora Caves: Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ellora Caves are a complex of 34 rock-cut temples and monasteries excavated between the 6th and 10th centuries. Unlike Ajanta, Ellora represents three different religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. The most famous of these is the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), an enormous monolithic structure dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is considered one of the largest rock-cut temples in the world, carved from a single rock and featuring intricate sculptures and detailed carvings. The diversity and architectural brilliance of the Ellora Caves make them a highlight of Aurangabad's historical offerings.
